J's first communion....

...so it is Vermont, and she got away with flowers instead of a veil and white crocs instead pf patent leather. No one's tongue got burned on the candles, and all the children all read their prayers out loud without a stumble. She's happy that now she gets "snack" at church!

Flashback

I believe everyone's seen this - here's the ND shot from MY wedding, along with a few from the night before, including one with me and my self-appointed flower girl, Heather.
I wish I had pictures online from the rest of your weddings... if you have any, let me know or go ahead and post them!

Tim and Katie's Wedding Weekend!

Or, as Stu put it on the way to the airport, "the weekend of the mullet."
I think a good time was had by all.... by some more than others, depending on the night.
Many thanks to Jen and Stu for being such great hosts and to Tim and Katie for throwing such a fun wedding!

the guests in the park....

The happy couple!

The good-looking friends, post-ceremony

Timmy and Katie's Weekend - Friday Night

The wedding festivities officially kicked off for us just before 4pm Friday when our good friend Ken the bus driver pulled in front of Jen and Stu's house, otherwise known as the Fortener B&B.
For some strange reason, although I landed before noon, I arrived at Jen and Stu's AFTER Ken did. This left me about 5-10 minutes to get ready. But I DID get to eat Kansas City's most famous barbeque that day... twice.

A Way To Keep In Touch?

This is an idea for a way that we can all keep each other in the loop as to what's going on - moves, new jobs, baby news, vacations - you name it. (Weddings? Mullets?) My sister does this with her school friends and it has worked out nicely.

This is JUST a suggestion - I'll be posting the pictures from this weekend a little later today to test it out. If you all like it, then we'll know if it sticks! If not, we forget the idea.

A few housekeeping details:

  • This is a private site - it's available to anyone with the web address, but it's not listed in the blog directory and it can't be located by search engines. This is a privacy function so that nobody has to worry about posting pictures, etc.

  • This can be updated one of two ways: you can send me pictures and updates or you can write them yourself. If you prefer that, let me know and I'll add you to the authors list.

The wedding shots will be up a little later... let me know what you think. In the meantime, here's a little blast from the past... my last picture from our last night at ND. (Could've been yesterday, right? We don't look a day older....)
